Volunteers provide important services to hospice organizations and the people they serve. We cherish staying connected with our volunteers because they bring an incredible amount of happiness and warmth to our patients during such a delicate time. Volunteers are a vital part of the hospice philosophy, offering compassion and support that enhance the care we provide. Their dedication creates meaningful moments that truly brighten lives when it matters most.

What volunteers can do
As a hospice volunteer you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do. Volunteer activities include:
- Provide companionship for a patient
- Light admin work in the office
- Play games, color and make crafts with patients
- Reading to patients
- Play music or watch a TV
Sometimes, a patient may not be able to communicate, but just knowing you're there can bring them great comfort. Your presence alone can mean so much.
How To Become A Volunteer
Here are the steps to become a volunteer with Magnolia Hospice Care:
1. Contact us at sydney@magnoliahospicecare.com or call us at 281-957-9752 to receive an application.
2. Once we send you an application, fill it out and send it back to us by emailing it to sydney@magnoliahospicecare.com or faxing it to 832-916-4577.
3. We have you come in for orientation to fill out simple paperwork. We’ll cover everything you need to know, answer any questions you may have, and help you feel confident and ready for the awesome work ahead
4. Once everything is complete, you'll officially be a volunteer at Magnolia Hospice Care—now it's time to start sharing your kindness and spreading joy with our patients!
Volunteer Training
All volunteers receive training to ensure they feel comfortable with their tasks. Training programs vary in length and cover many areas.
